Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

PEO1. To provide a strong theoretical and practical foundation of knowledge in the fundamental sub-fields of biology (e.g., molecular biology, genetics, ecology, physiology, taxonomy, zoology, botany).

PEO2. To foster investigative and creative thinking through skills in scientific research, experimental design, data analysis, information technologies, and project-based learning.

PEO3. To train individuals with advanced expertise who are capable of analyzing the structure, function, diversity, and environmental interactions of living organisms at multiple levels, and who are proficient in the modern applications of biotechnology, bioinformatics, and environmental biology.

PEO4. To cultivate individuals who are committed to ethical principles, respectful of organismal and environmental rights, and possess a strong sense of social responsibility.

PEO5. To support graduates in their preparation for professional careers in academic, public, new, and educational sectors, and to foster the development of their scientific communication skills.

PEO6. To train individuals who possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills, grasp the importance of lifelong learning, and are capable of monitoring current environmental challenges, developing solutions, and following contemporary scientific approaches.
